Lynx is aiming to transform the Canadian aviation landscape with ultra-affordable fares and excellent customer service, with fares as low as $39* one way.
According to the Calgary Herald, Canada's newest "ultra-affordable" airline, Lynx Air, has ambitious growth plans. The airline currently employs 165 people and will grow its workforce to more than 400 by the end of the year and to 3,000 within the next five years. This does not include contract workers, which will greatly expand that number.
Lynx Air was launched on November 16, 2021, with plans to begin flying in the first quarter of 2022. During the announcement, the airline made commitments for up to 46 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with deliveries starting in early 2022. The airline currently flies domestic routes and will serve international destinations later. Lynx Air follows the low-cost carrier model for its operations.
