Job Description
STS Technical Services is currently seeking a
Non-Conforming Material Lead (Night Shift) to join our dynamic team in
York, PA. The Non-Conforming Material Lead will be responsible for managing and leading a team of NCM employees, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety standards are upheld. This position requires strong leadership skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Non-Conforming Material (NCM) employees, ensuring safety practices, goals, and deadlines are met.
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide team member support by answering questions, resolving issues, and overseeing quality and guideline compliance.
- Enforce Standard Work practices and ensure NCM metrics are met by effectively communicating expectations to the team.
- Manage inventory and stock, ensuring accurate records of materials used and notifying the supervisor when new orders are necessary.
- Encourage team members, setting clear goals and identifying opportunities for training and skill development.
- Assist in the hiring process and train new team members to meet company standards.
- Communicate deadlines and operational goals to the team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to specification.
- Develop strategies to improve adherence to company regulations and performance standards.
- Regularly share detailed reports on team performance, mission objectives, and key results.
- Ensure that company brand materials and physical workspaces comply with company presentation standards and 5S practices.
- Provide quality customer service by interacting with suppliers, handling inquiries, and managing escalations when necessary.
- Fill in for the supervisor during their absence, taking on supervisory duties when required.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective team management and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, including resolving team member issues and ensuring quality control.
- Results-oriented with a focus on meeting goals and exceeding performance expectations.
- Employee training experience with a strong understanding of Standard Work practices.
- Solid interviewing skills and experience with team member recruitment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster positive teamwork and collaboration.
- Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring that supplier interactions are handled professionally.
