The Director Network Operations Planning (NOP) Delivery maintains responsibility for providing technical, functional, and strategic Leadership for IT investments within the Network Operations Control (NOC). This Director will work with many departments, vendors, and government agencies to ensure successful implementation of new efforts, tools, applications, and processes. The Director NOP Delivery is a strategic thinker and organized collaborator ready to bring innovation to Network Operations Planning.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivery of new products, product enhancements, as well as maintenance of existing products
- Lead Product Managers to have initiatives sized and provide input for economic prioritization based on the business case, and the Economic Framework and department priorities
- Prioritize and shepherd initiatives through portfolio prioritization as the Business Owner as outlined in the Safe methodology
- Create and articulate vision of future linked to Department and Company performance aspirations and set long-term vision and strategic planning for area of responsibility
- Implement management strategies to effect high productivity through technical solutions
- Develop business cases to support the rationale and funding of an initiative, while partnering with key Operation Director Stakeholders. Participates in the evaluation, development, and recommendation of solutions specific to the NOC
- Cultivate, support, and promote an organizational culture that provides for high performance, high morale, integrity, teamwork, and work-life balance
- Recruit, develop, coach and retain individuals with skills, attitude, and experience necessary to enable the organization to meet commitments
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define the initiative value statement, the potential business benefits, a specific outcome hypothesis, the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)/Minimal Marketable Feature (MMF), the Cost of Delay (CoD), and business sponsors
- May perform other duties as directed by Leadership
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of agile product development concepts from product management point of view
- Knowledge of business management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, Leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resource
- Knowledge of project methods, processes, tools and best Leadership practices
- Skilled in written and verbal communication including the ability to communicate complex issues in a structured and concise manner
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Skilled in evaluating business problems and translating them into innovative products and solutions
- Ability to think strategically and understand the relationship between current actions and future consequences
- Ability to build strong relationships and influences Leadership, Architects and others stakeholders to convert solutions into realizable business value
- Ability to communicate clearly and drive high level of focus and excellence
- Ability to work with Leadership to successfully convey Epic intent along with potential benefits and acceptance criteria
- Ability to work well with others as part of a Team; professionally interact with other departments, labor groups, and the public; and have the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage legal, compliance, and security aspects of the Product by collaborating across the enterprise
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Advanced level Business Acumen in functional area
- Seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Progressive Product Management
- Directing large development efforts
- Business and/or Information Technology environment, specially related to cross-functional teams
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be able to work extended hours and travel based on operational needs
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $198,100.00 per year to $220,100 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual
contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the
discretion of the company.
