Summary
The Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) Analyst reports to the Manager of Flight Safety and is responsible for the day-to-day flight data analysis utilizing the FOQA GDRAS, generating Ground Data Replay, and Analysis System (GDRAS) related reports, coordinating event investigations, conducting data analysis for FOQA studies, and assisting the FOQA Monitoring Team in reviewing and analyzing data. Additionally, the FOQA Analyst is responsible for developing data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau, process automation, and process optimization to enhance insights and support decision-making processes.

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Bachelor's degree in related field.
Years of Experience:
•Minimum four (4) years of part 121 airline pilot experience OR
•Minimum two (2) years of aviation safety experience or data analysis and/or coding experience.
•Demonstrated capabilities in data analysis and the sound application of statistical principles.
•Demonstrated capabilities in written and oral communication, including the effective presentation of data.
•Possess a strong working knowledge of [AC 120-82] and [14 CFR 5].
•Effective communicator and presenter, with the ability to diplomatically interact with personal across the organization, vendors, and industry.
•Demonstrated knowledge and ability to maintain a high degree of integrity and impartiality in directing the program, which is a key ingredient in ensuring safety objectives are not compromised within Allegiant’s SMS.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs.
Preferred Requirements
•Master’s Degree in air carrier safety programs or system safety.
•ATP (A-320/B-737 type rating preferred).
•Previous Experience with FOQA programs.
Job Duties
•Performs FOQA analysis, validates and ensures the security of data, facilitates and attends meetings, generates reports, and conducts routine duties in accordance with the FOQA Process Guide.
•Performs data reduction and analysis, assessment of deviations and trends, corrective actions and feedback, and data trending and record retention, all within the structure of Allegiant’s SMS.
•Monitors and ensures the reliability and integrity of data collection and retrieval, security, deidentification, and protection in accordance with industry best practice and Allegiant FOQA program guidance.
•Ensures the proper functioning of GDRAS software, animation software, hardware, and associated peripherals; coordinates with vendors to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
•Maintains the FOQA office, i.e., organization and security, oversight of facilities and equipment, updating controlled documents, and storage and retrieval of reports.
•Develops and oversees logistical procedures for extracting and transmitting recorded data into analysis hardware, including tracking the removal of media that contain recorded flight data.
•Performs data analysis and generates metrics for periodic reporting of trends to the FAA and Allegiant Safety.
•Generates FOQA animations and other resources as outputs for training and information to line crewmembers.
•Generates Visualizations for FMT and External stakeholders.
•Codes new parameters and triggers as directed by the FMT in the (GRDAS).
•Coordinates and manages the FOQA Data Request process as directed by the FMT.
•Conducts data analysis and compiles information for FOQA discovery studies.
•Coordinates with Maintenance and Engineering on hardware performance and fleet configuration.
•Maintains and secures trend and event databases.
•Maintains and updates associated FOQA Manuals.
•Uses data and trend analysis software to generate periodic reports for program analysis.
•Attends appropriate industry safety conferences.
•Performs LOSA analysis, validates and ensures the security of data and generated reports for the LOSA program.
•Assists the safety team with other needs as appropriate.
•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing direction.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
