ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
SITA is proud to present a great opportunity for a highly motivated Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer,who has extensive Azure infrastructure design and deployment experience, to join our dynamic ‘Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering’ team. You will be part of a diverse and creative team that is continually striving to offer the best quality products and services that are continuously transforming air travel.
Cloud computing continues to allow us to transform and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue further levels of innovation. As an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineerat SITA, you will be responsible for the design, development & deployment of cloud infrastructure that supports our business applications and services. Having excellent troubleshooting skills, you will also stay current with industry trends and should be a strong team player. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Function as part of a multi-disciplinary squad to design, develop and deploy cloud-based infrastructure in public or private cloud platforms.
- Participate in Agile ways of working to help deliver our product and project commitments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of cloud services.
- Analyse complex requirements, create detailed design documents, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate cloud provisioning.
- Be passionate about scripting, developing, crafting, and evolving automation following best practices and principles.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 5+ years’ extensive experience in design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Azure Architecture Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework.
- Ability to analyse complex requirements, create detailed design documents, diagrams, and technical specifications with the ability to communicate design decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders at various technical levels.
- Expertise in developing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Terraform, along with strong proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git) for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Strong scripting skills e,g. Python, Bash, PowerShell, Azure CLI.
- Deep knowledge of Azure Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Virtual Machines, Azure Networking (VNet, NSG, Load Balancer), Azure Storage, and Azure App Services.
- Experience with virtual network design, hybrid cloud connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure FrontDoor), DNS, load balancing, and firewall configurations as well as knowledge of advanced networking concepts like private endpoints.
- Expertise in implementing Azure security policies and Azure Security features such as Azure AD, RBAC, Azure Policy, and Key Vault along with familiarity with threat detection tools like Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working in cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical leadership.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for performance tracking and troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
