The role
As a Data Archiving Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Responsible for designing, managing and maintaining data archiving solutions; ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval and compliance with industry standards. This role requires expertise in data management, specifically with OpenText solutions.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for managing and maintaining the secure storage, retrieval and lifecycle of digital records and documents for the Babcock Group archiving project, using the OpenText platform.
- Design, implement, and maintain data archiving strategies to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
- Manage and configure OpenText solutions for data archiving and management
- Monitor data storage systems and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies
- Perform regular data audits and quality checks and generate reports on the data quality and archiving activities
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to define data retention policies and ensure their implementation
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Data Archiving Specialist:
- Proven experience in data management and archiving, with a focus on OpenText solutions
- Strong understanding of data protection regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in database management and data storage solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Detail-orientated and highly organised
Qualifications for the Data Archiving Specialist:
- Strong degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent years of work experience required
- OpenText
- SQL
