The Role: Senior Data Engineer

You’ll work with an exciting mix of technologies, including SQL, AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Python, and Git, to deliver high-quality, end-to-end data products in an Agile environment. What You’ll Do:
- Analyze complex business challenges and build strong connections with stakeholders to understand their needs.
- Design and implement efficient, scalable data solutions utilizing SQL, AWS, Snowflake, and other tools in the BA Data Technology Stack.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize new and existing code, with a focus on Python, Airflow, and Git for seamless workflow management.
- Manage data infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability, and quality assurance across all systems.
- Produce clear, adaptable documentation to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with your data product team to deliver value-driven solutions that align with organizational objectives.
What You’ll Bring to British Airways:
- Strong expertise in SQL development with experience in designing efficient data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS, and familiarity with Snowflake for modern data warehousing.
- Proficiency in tools like Airflow for orchestration and Git for version control.
- Solid understanding of EDW design principles and the ability to optimize data solutions for business needs.
- Familiarity with both Windows and Linux server environments and experience with containers (desirable).
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence in a collaborative Agile environment.
