Role Introduction
Cathay Pacific is looking for a full-time Cargo Sales Support Executive to join our Miami Cargo team. The successful candidate will execute the commercial strategies for the port in order to surpass revenue targets and commercial Key Performance Indicators by providing excellent customer service and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
- Help to implement the Cargo Business Plan in alignment with local cargo strategies and specified Key Performance Indicators
- Assist the Cargo Manager(s) and coordinate with the Cargo Sales Officers to achieve revenue target and generate ancillary revenue by actively seeking support from customers
- Provide support to manage capacity in order to maximise flight revenue
Customer Services
- Coordinate with the outdoor sales team to provide customer-centric solutions to customers
- Answer customers’ enquiries and handle customers’ offline booking and e-booking requests in a timely and professional manner
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with stakeholders from all sales channels for revenue generation purposes
- Provide superb sales and customer service in all commercial customer touch points so as to drive premium selling rates and regular business
- Champion Cathay products and provide excellent and consistent product solutions to customers
Efficiency Improvement
- Support the Cargo Manager(s) to implement programmes on e-initiatives to drive penetration of e-Bookings and other Agent Self-Service functions
- Any other reasonable task as requested
Safety, Security and Compliance
- Help to ensure compliance and conformance to all regulatory and internal safety, security, quality, and procedural requirements
- Undertake quality check programmes established by Head Office and participate in audits as required
- Support the Emergency and Accident role as required
- May be designated Operational Duty Holder for the station as required
- Carry out the responsibilities of a local Dangerous Goods Coordinator as per agreed guidelines.
E&A
- Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Completion of High School / GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required
Knowledge, Skills, Training And Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ cargo or airline operations or indoor sales experience
- Prior customer service experience is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable customer service sense
- Ability to work independently
- Intermediate Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Systems
- Knowledge of CHAMP Cargospot System is an advantage
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
- Must successfully pass all pre-screening clearances, including a background check and pre-employment drug screen upon contingent job offer
- Obtain and retain necessary credentials and clearances (CBP Customs Seal and Driving Icon) per local requirements
- Must successfully pass safety training examination and receive certification before starting operations
- Strong cognitive reasoning and mathematical skills are essential
- Ability to inspect and assist in manoeuvring loaded pallets up to 50 lbs frequently
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Comfortable working at the warehouse, on aircraft, and outdoors on the tarmac in all weather conditions
- Must be willing and able to travel when required occasionally
- Must have the right to live and work in the USA
