We are currently seeking for a Junior Proposal Estimator Engineer for our Honeywell Building Solutions division based in Cologno Monzese, whereyou will play a pivotal role in developing accurate cost estimates, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting sales efforts to deliver innovative building solutions
This role is fully onsite and is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.
This apprenticeship is set up for 24 months and is aim to start inspring 2025.
Honeywell Building Solutions is a $2.5B strategic business unit inside of Honeywell’s Global Building Technologies Business. HBS installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities connected, safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient and is a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities:
·Assist sales teams by developing precise, timely estimates for Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC systems, and potentially Security and Fire solutions.
·Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Procurement, and Finance, to ensure accurate solution design and risk assessment.
·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Honeywell’s product portfolio, technical standards, and innovative solutions.
·Engage with suppliers to obtain quotes for materials and sub-contracted work, identifying cost-saving opportunities and strategic partnerships.
·Support sales professionals and customers during the technical requirements definition and proposal development phases.
·Ensure compliance with health, safety, and internal audit standards throughout all estimation processes.
Skills and Qualifications
·Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in computer science, electronic or mechanical engineering.
·Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
·Fluent in Italian C1-C2 and English B1-B2 with Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset.
·Basic understanding of digital/cloud technologies and willingness to learn IoT and smart technologies.Preferred: Knowledge of Cybersecurity, operational technology, and macro development in Excel to optimize estimation processes.
·Must be eligible for an apprenticeship contract.
