Astronics Custom Control Concepts (Astronics CCC) designs, engineers, manufactures and certifies reliable digital in-flight entertainment and cabin management systems (IFE/CMS) for the corporate, private and VIP aircraft industry. The Repair Station Technician II will perform in-house servicing and repair for company products at an established Repair Center.
Job Functions/Purpose
Performs in-house testing and maintenance of company products at established FAA/EASA Part 145 certified repair center.
Description
Working in a fast-paced environment, use your strong knowledge of electronics to test and repair a large product line of high-end audio, video, and cabin management system electronics designed and manufactured for aircraft.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures
- Performs maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired products
- Ability to perform troubleshooting to the component level along with solder skills expertise
- Maintains appropriate documentation based on regulatory and company requirements
- Helps prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues as requested and/or required
- Responsible for maintaining all FAA requirements
- Assist other areas to maintain timeliness of projects
Education/Experience
- Associates degree in electrical engineering or computer science preferred
- Ability to obtain repair station certification within two years
- Minimum of two years in an electrical production/repair setting or equivalent
Physical
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts or is exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The salary range specified is applicable to positions within the State of Illinois and reflects various factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, individual skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and the specific needs of our business and organization. At Astronics CSC, it is uncommon for new hires to receive an offer at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are made based on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate. The current estimated yearly salary range for this position is $24.52 to $36.79 per hour. In addition, you will be eligible for our Quarterly Incentive compensation bonus. Astronics offers a competitive salary, along with opportunities for career growth.
