Avionics Installer
Responsibilities
- Provide work direction to technicians and ensure completion of tasks within the allotted time frame.
- Coordinate with and assist other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft.
- Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
- Train other team members in associated work assignments, using your skills to contribute to their development and improve techniques.
- Assist Engineering in resolving problems and make repairs as directed by engineering.
- Maintain required logs and records.
- Ensure that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Enforce the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
- Check all work, including that of other team members, to ensure defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
Qualifications:
- Experience in avionic installations and avionics electrical systems.
- Skill in wire installation and electrical system troubleshooting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years experience in an avionics/electrical career field OR two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related experience.
- FCC certification preferred.
- NCATT certification preferred.
