About the team you are joining
Reporting directly to the Area / Country Manager for Peru and
Bolivia the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing IATA
campaigns, external affairs strategies, monitoring regulatory developments and promoting
and selling IATA products and services to existing and potential customers in
Peru and Bolivia.
What your day would be like
- Lead the implementation of regional campaigns as established by the Regional Leadership Team (RLT), collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure impactful execution.
- Support the Area Manager advocating IATA’s industry positions to national governments and regulatory authorities , agencies, institutions, and external partners.
- Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments impacting the airline industry.
- Assist in designing and executing external affairs strategies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for diverse stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage external inquiries and commitments.
- Cultivate relationships with non-member airlines, promoting IATA’s portfolio of products and services.
- In coordination with Area Manager, plan, execute, and report on sales activities using global tools, and acquire potential new customers, products to include business intelligence, consulting, training, and financial services.
- Provide timely updates and reports on progress and achievement of targets.
- Represent IATA at industry meetings and conferences; organize stakeholder engagements as needed.
- Contribute to communication initiatives, including media presence, press coverage, and competitive tracking.
- Manage marketplace communications, related to agents and airlines defaults, financial institutions, and host governments.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Area / Country Manager.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of professional / working experience and at least 3 years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in External Affairs, Government Relations, or Corporate Affairs, is a strong asset.
- Background in the aviation industry is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of public policy processes, stakeholder engagement, and corporate communications.
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in complex, cross-cultural environments.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong organizational and digital tool proficiency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and local language is required; knowledge of any other relevant languages would be an asset.
- This is not a remote position; the successful candidate will be required to work three days from the office.
