Position Summary
Position Summary:
This individual will be responsible for the management and implementation of sourcing & purchasing related projects & programs for the company and drive continuous improvement on supplier cost, delivery and service level. Working closely with division and location cross-functional teams including SCM planning, customer service, R&D, manufacturing, engineering, finance and quality management team. The main goal is to develop and grow a robust supplier base to meet division business growth and development requirement. This position reports directly to the division sourcing manager and must be able to travel extensively.

Report to Division Sourcing Manager CDA
Lead and manage supplier cost, delivery and service level development & improvement program per company’s requirement with close cooperation with division and location cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, engineering, finance, quality and supply chain management team.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibility:
Lead Sourcing & Purchasing related development and improvement projects & programs to achieve goals, objectives and targets covering key supplier base for different countries / locations within division
Lead material localization projects and programs to meet business growth requirement
Lead sourcing program on new supplier selection, evaluation, cost analysis, price justification and risk assessment of suppliers.
Lead cost negotiation and contract management with suppliers to achieve cost, quality, delivery, and innovation targets
Establish supplier performance scorecards and lead monthly business reviews with suppliers to drive continuous improvement
Collaborate and support location planning & procurement teams for supplier management & improvement in terms of on-time delivery, supply lead time reduction, and other key metrics
Lead communication with suppliers to resolve key supply issues and drive quick improvement when it happens
Lead supplier risk management to identify and mitigate supply risks (single-source, geopolitical, financial, compliance requirement).
Lead and support cross-functional HPTs on continuous improvement for the supplier related projects & programs
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field. Chemistry or polymer sciences background is preferred
Professional certification in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Project Management is a plus (CPSM, CSCP, PMP, or similar)
5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, purchasing & procurement with 2-3 years leading teams for complex categories.
Chemical or material industry related working experience in Multi-National Company is an advantage
Strong negotiation skills, effective communication skills and contracting experience with proven track record delivering measurable savings, supplier performance improvements, and supply risk reduction
Experience with supplier management process and system
Good command of English in both speaking and writing
Integrity with strong work ethic
Must be willing to travel frequently
