FCAS – Shaping the future European Air Power
FCAS has the potential to become a future key pillar to secure the sovereignty of Europe, strategically, technologically, and industrially! With Spain joining the Franco-German cooperation, the programme took an important step towards its Europeanization. As FCAS is much more than “just” a new Fighter, but an integrated & combined system-of-system including existing and future platforms and tools, the programme will integrate a wide range of the Airbus DS portfolio and competencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To define requirements for integartion of Armament in Future Combat Air Systems, at system, subsystem, or equipment level.
To define Armament Control and Carriage Systems Design Requirements
To perform Impact analysis for the integration of new Armament in a combat platform.
Preparation and assessment of the technical documentation for the integration of armament.
Generation of weapons to Aircraft Interface Control Document.
Preparation and assessment of Safety documentation. Generation of Preliminary Hazard Analysis
To identify the activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements.
Support Low Observability activities related to weapons/Stores integration.
To define checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates.
SKILLS
Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline
Experience in Aircraft Systems Integration.
Experience in Armament carriage equipments integration will be a plus.
Languages: Advanced level in English.
Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a networking mode.
