About the Role
The Parker Hannifin Ravenna, OH Manufacturing Site is seeking a HR Generalist II. The Human Resources Generalist plays a key onsite partnership to both the manufacturing plant (hourly team members across three shifts) and the Division Headquarters (salaried business functions and leaders). This non-union facility supports approximately 300 employees. The role is part of an HR team including the Division HR Manager, Site HR Manager, HR Generalist I, and a Recruiter. The Generalist II focuses on positive team member engagement and operational continuity. As an HR Generalist II, you will serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, managing day-to-day HR operations while driving process improvements across the employee lifecycle. This role balances hands-on HR support with compliance oversight, data-driven insights, and strategic initiatives that enhance engagement and performance.
This is a full-time role based in Ravenna, OH. This role is not eligible for company-provided relocation assistance and does not offer student/work visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
· Employee Relations and Engagement
o Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns; coach managers on performance, feedback, and progressive discipline.
o Investigate employee relations matters and document findings; recommend fair, consistent actions aligned with policy and law.
o Support initiatives that improve culture, recognition, and retention.
· Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
o Partner with hiring managers to define roles, craft postings, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews.
o Lead onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth new-hire experience.
· HR Operations and Compliance
o Maintain accurate HRIS records, personnel files, and reporting; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
o Monitor leaves of absence, accommodations, and return-to-work processes (FMLA, ADA).
o Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications; liaise with vendors as needed.
o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, EEO, OSHA) and company policies.
o Assist with audits, policy updates, and training materials.
· Performance and Development
o Coordinate performance review cycles, goal setting, and calibration; track development plans and follow-through.
o Facilitate training on HR policies, compliance topics, and manager toolkits.
· Payroll and Compensation Support
o Partner with payroll to validate timekeeping, pay changes, and deductions; resolve discrepancies.
o Provide market research and internal equity checks for offers and promotions, support compensation processes.
· Data and Process Improvement
o Produce HR metrics and dashboards (turnover, time-to-fill, engagement indicators); synthesize insights and recommend actions.
o Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve employee experiences.
Qualifications
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
· Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR business partner role.
· Preferred HR experience in a manufacturing facility.
· Preferred HR experience supporting both hourly and salary employees.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust at all levels.
· Maintain a consistent, daily presence on the production floor and in manufacturing areas; proactively engage with hourly Team Members in their workspaces to build trust, address questions and concerns, support supervisors, and ensure timely follow-through.
· High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information.
· Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OSHA).
· Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, UKG, ADP, Paycom, Kronos) and Microsoft Office 365.
· Comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing multiple deadlines, and driving results.
