Role Purpose
Accountable for the overall direction of all security functions within the Company and the management of legislated requirements that may impact security. Act as the focal point for security management on behalf of the company. The Head of Security shall be directly responsible to the Firefly Chief Operating Officer and administratively responsible to the Head of Corporate Safety & Security Oversight (CSSO) for the implementation of civil aviation security measures which are allocated to aircraft operators by the National Civil Aviation Security Programmes of those States from which the airline provides service.
Key Accountability
- Develop security policy framework and objectives for security performance standards in line with the Security Management System (SeMS).
- Accountable to the company's compliance with security requirements and standards as required by International and National Legislations.
- Ensures security functions such as Security Investigation, Intelligence, Risk Management, Assurance and Compliance are performed and procedures are implemented in accordance with applicable regulations and Company standards.
- Responsible for effective cross-organizational security management oversight - to oversee the operational security activities of Security Team Leads, Station Head and Information Security.
- Responsible FY Security department and employee performance achieves the desired organisational and operational outcomes.
- Ensures the implementation and maintenance of the FY Security Programme, and its continuing effectiveness through periodic review in accordance with applicable security requirements and standards.
- Ensures continual improvement of the SeMS through periodic security audit program review, threat & risk assessment analysis, and the continuous monitoring of security controls and mitigation actions through management reporting at the MAG Management & Board Safety & Security Committee.
- Identifies and sets security protection goals in accordance with the Company's strategic plan. Investigate security breaches arising from process gaps and participate in the corporate Business Integrity program.
- Liaises with applicable aviation security authorities and any other relevant external entities.
- Manage Security department assets and deployment.
- To administer and manage the FY Security program with strategic guidance from MAB Security.
- To oversight cyber security and monitoring within the organisation.
- Coordinate Security Testing (Covert/Overt Test) to fulfill requirements from CAAM.
- Leads all Firefly security contract management processes.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in Professional qualification or related field with 7 years working experiences in Airline Security Operations. Experience in Security Operations Quality Assurance is an added advantage.
- Diploma in Professional qualification or related field with more than 8 years experiences in Airline Security Operations Experience in Security Operations Quality Assurance is an added advantage.
- SPM with more than 12 years experiences in Airline Security Operations. Experience in Security Operations Quality Assurance is an added advantage.

- Excellent leadership skills with strong knowledge in protective security
- Highly developed analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems, with excellent spoken/written English communication skills.
- Good rapport with authority and government agencies.
- Knowledge in international, regional and national civil aviation security requirements.
