What’s The Role All About?
To operate all radio communication facilities within the company’s domestic network in the manner best responsive to its objectives and needs and always in accordance with government regulations.
Ensures proper transmission and reception of all information relevant to the airline’s operations.
Who Are We Looking For?
- College or University Graduate
- Holder of a 1st Class Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)
- Willing to work on a shifting schedule
Major Responsibilities
- Coordinates with specific operational teams by relaying all pertinent information necessary for the safe, economical and expeditious dispatch of flights
- Secures information and coordinates with Flight Crew regarding aerodrome advisories, aircraft status, parking bay assignments, final fuel and other relevant information for flight operations
- Maintains continuous radio listening and flight watch via company radio frequency for any incoming calls from aircraft-VHF/Air to Ground
- Keeps and maintains a radio station log where all operational occurrences are entered
- Complies with applicable standards and regulations of Philippine Airlines; actively involves with Safety Management System by reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards in the workplace; being safety conscious by exercising duty of care in the performance of duties
