Airbus SAS is looking for a Team Leader Export Control Investigator
(f/m) to join our Ethics & Compliance department based in Toulouse, France.
In the context of the continuous effort to improve compliance with Export Control and Sanctions regulations, Airbus investigates allegations of potential violations, defines and implements remedial actions to prevent the recurrence of issues. When needed, Airbus will submit voluntary disclosures to the relevant export authorities (especially the U.S. DDTC and BIS).
The Export Control Investigations team is responsible for overseeing this process at Group level. Those investigations will cover company-wide operations, products and programs (commercial and military aircraft as well as space), while applying their Export Control and Sanctions expertise. Airbus relies on a talented and diverse network of Export Control professionals in all three Divisions across the regions who will also support the relevant investigations.

Your challenges:
Act as Team Lead of five Export Control Investigators, defining the team’s strategy and goals, directing the team’s activities and mentoring each member.
Represent the team before the Export Control department, in Export Control Leadership meetings and when relevant information needs to be reported to other functions.
Organize and coordinate Export Control and Sanctions investigations with the local Export Control teams, the Export Control Leadership Team, the Compliance investigation teams when needed and other relevant functions. This includes planning and conducting thorough investigations of alerts, collection and review of data, fact finding, regulatory analysis, root cause analysis, and definition of the most appropriate corrective actions to address compliance gaps;
Manage outside legal counsel;
Draft voluntary disclosures submitted to government authorities and internal investigation reports;
Work with the Export Control function and Program Office on compliance program improvements and strategy to prevent recurrence of violations;
Work with divisions, regions and subsidiaries to ensure adherence to the Airbus policies related to Compliance and Export Control;
Play a key role in developing and deploying best practices in the conduct of internal export control investigations, especially through training and awareness sessions within the Export Control teams and other Airbus functions.
Your boarding pass:
More than 10 years of experience in the U.S. Export Control regulations (ITAR and EAR) and ideally also in EU Export Control and Sanctions regulations. Experience in the aerospace industry will be highly valued.
You have strong leadership skills and stakeholder management qualifications.

You are organized, action orientated, customer-focused and proactive.
You excel at multi-tasking and know how to set priorities in order to meet tight deadlines.
Languages: Fluency in speaking and writing English
