What will you do? As a Solution Architect within Thales, you will:
A Solution Architect act as a primary technical leader of overall project solution during BID or Project development phase, focused on technical scope of the whole solution (WHAT). Solution Architect is the key to give the shape of the technical solution.
The experience on Business Analysis allows the Solution Architect to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team, helping to identify business needs, analyze processes, and deliver effective solutions to achieve organizational goals. It involves gathering requirements, documenting processes, and facilitating communication to ensure project success.
Education and experiences:
- SW Engineering background or any Computer Sciences equivalent engineering degree.
- More than 6 years’ experience in Solution Architecting: Definition and design of complex SW solution architectures and technical leadership.
- More than 3 years’ experience in Requirements management
Hard Skills:
- Be experienced in the design of complex SW solution architectures in line with security standards and policies.
- Be able to take decisions and be responsible for overall solution architecture and its feasibility.
- Have good understanding and high-level knowledge of microservices architecture, reactive programming, containerized services.
- Be experienced with UML and modelling tools, such as Enterprise Architect.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation techniques and requirements management tools (e.g.: JIRA with EaseRequirements/R4J).
- Capable of leading workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements and scope if needed, as well as technical meetings and peer reviews.
- Quickly understand the system/solution and how it works.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
- Be fluent in English and Spanish (≥ B2) is mandatory.
Nice to have:
- Have experience in Border & Travel projects: Border Management System, Automatic Border Control or similar.
- Have high-level knowledge on HW devices integration.
- Network and Security knowledge.
- Experience with Biometric technologies.
- Have knowledge of cloud solutions deployment.
