- Job Purpose
Ensures regulatory compliance and quality excellence in MRO operations by managing standards, documentation, certifying personnel, and IT systems. Drives safety, performance improvement, and customer satisfaction through proactive analysis, preventive measures, and collaboration with internal teams and aviation authorities.
- Key Accountabilities
The Manager Quality Standards is responsible:
- The administration, manpower planning, supervision, training, and discipline of all staff in Quality Standards department.
- Liaising with regulatory authorities and airlines to process applications / renewals of approvals and payment of fees.
- Review changes to regulatory standards and communicating such changes for implementation in the Company's systems and procedures.
- Administration and updating of airworthiness manuals such as Maintenance Organization Exposition, Repair Station & Quality Control Manual, Quality Manuals, and Organizational Procedures Manuals for use within the organization.
- Maintaining relevant information on all authorized certifying personnel in the License/Authorization Holders’ database.
- Issuance and control of Authorizations to suitably qualified maintenance staff.
- Overseeing the Documentation Section in its preparation and upkeep of Maintenance Organization Exposition, Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, Quality Manual, MRO Engineering Procedures Manual and Organizational Procedures Manuals for use within the organization.
- Managing Information Technology (IT) projects including administration of the Quality LAN system, budgeting and overseeing IT needs of the Division.
- Handling of administrative matters for the Quality Division, including invoicing, payments, and contractual issues.
- Monitor the quality and safety performance of the company and communicate best practices and lessons learnt.
- Review root causes of maintenance-induced errors, and to identify emerging trends.
- Recommend preventive measures and drive campaigns to address those emerging trends, with the objective of minimizing aircraft or ground incidents caused by maintenance-induced errors.
- Work with Operations to introduce programs to improve the quality of work delivered by Operations to Customers.
- Review industry benchmarks and best practices, and to propose recommendations for Operations.
- Reporting to the Assistant Vice President (Quality and Compliance Monitoring) on the status of quality programs, customer enhancement projects, recommended policies / processes change, and new initiatives.
- To ensure that the Administrative Officers under his/her charge discharge their duties and responsibilities in accordance with their terms of reference.
- Such other duties as may be assigned by the Reporting Manager.
