About the team you are joining
You will report to
the Assistant Director, Corporate Communications, Americas, and support the
roll-out of global communications activities (both external and internal) of
the IATA Corporate Communications Team.
What your day would be like
- General media relations work, including initial research/fact gathering supporting the preparation of responses to media enquiries; triaging emails from the general corporate communications email box and forwarding to respective account manager;
- Support internal communications activities by assisting in drafting messages, uploading posts on the intranet and photography/filming as required;
- Assist in social media activities including monitoring account activities, posting provided texts to the appropriate channels as well as designing assets to support messaging;
- Support press release distribution, including updating media contact database;
- Assist webteam in content creation and updates for iata.org;
- Support IATA events by assisting with media travel request and content/program updates;
- Recording videos.
We would love to hear from you if
- You have excellent communication and analytical skills;
- You are an effective team player in a multicultural working environment;
- Excellent PC skills, particularity with MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and MS Project; and basic website CMS knowledge.
- You are proficient in English.
- Knowledge of any other language would be an asset, especially French, Spanish and/or Portuguese.
- Have experience in video production/editing (Adobe Premiere Pro / Adobe After Effects / Final Cut Pro / Apple Motion), visual communications (Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator) would be an asset;
