Position: Engineer (Radio)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital trunked radio systems for MRT/LRT communications, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client expectations.
- Interpret project requirements and translate them into high-performance radio system designs tailored for rail environments.
- Develop and review IT network architectures at radio network system level and BIM-based system drawings to design efficient RF cable routing and comprehensive coverage planning.
- Perform RF engineering analyses, including intermodulation and interference studies, EMC/EMI assessments, cell planning, and RF link budgeting to ensure reliable system performance across both dense urban and rural environment.
- Lead system integration activities, coordinating with other sub-systems, site testing, commissioning, conduct troubleshooting and providing post-deployment warranty support.
- Analyze and interpret complex technical documentation, including schematics, engineering drawings, and design specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all technical and operational project requirements, while securing necessary client approvals.
- Participate in project meetings, handling administrative responsibilities and supporting overall project execution.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, maintaining clear communication with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and overseeing project resources and managing subcontractor activities.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard radio communication systems against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, design drawings, and presentations using tools such as PowerPoint.
- Troubleshoot and improve system performance by analyzing operational logs, applying system patches, and conducting validation tests
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication Engineering, or a related field.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, especially in communication systems.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for overseas assignments and adaptable to working hours aligned with railway engineering schedules.
- Proactive and independent, with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exposure to radio communication systems from major suppliers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with:
- Integration protocols for peripheral systems
- Radio network configuration and performance parameters
- RF propagation modeling techniques
- IP addressing schemes and network routing
- IT network infrastructure, including firewalls and LAN switches
- Air interface protocols specific to railway communication environments
- Applications from fresh graduates are encouraged and welcomed.
