P&C Test Engineer to work in Montgomery, Alabama.This position is ONSITE ONLY. PPE will be provided.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 0 - 3 years of related experience.
- Engineers are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing protection and control systems.
- These systems are used to monitor protection systems in power substations.
- Engineers must have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles as well as computer skills.
- They use this knowledge to install, repair, and maintain protection and control systems that may include microprocessor relays, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, pumps, motors, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot protection and control relaying and associated devices
- Perform calibration of various types of protection and control relays and devices
- Assist in creating and maintaining protection and control documentation
- Assist assigned project lead with field assignments Install, program, and maintain protection and control relays and devices
- Participate in process hazard analyses
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and practices
REQUIRES SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 year BS Engineering Degree (Electrical Preferred)
- 0-3 years experience in Engineering or similar role
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs Experience with AC and DC system
