What You'll Do
Own the Database Environment
- Take full ownership of on-premises Microsoft SQL Server instances—from installation and configuration to performance optimization
- Design and implement robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies that ensure business continuity
- Monitor system performance using enterprise-grade tools and proactively implement improvements before issues arise
- Build and maintain SQL Jobs that automate critical processes and keep operations running smoothly
Be the Data Expert
- Become the go-to expert on application data models, understanding how information flows through the organization
- Partner with business units to solve data puzzles and ensure information integrity
- Analyze complex data relationships to troubleshoot issues and uncover insights
- Bridge the gap between technical systems and business needs with clear, user-friendly communication
Drive Innovation & Security
- Implement security best practices through careful management of users, roles, and permissions
- Support application upgrades by refreshing test environments and validating vendor scripts
- Document everything—schemas, processes, replication configs—to build a knowledge base for the future
- Troubleshoot and optimize SQL replication to ensure seamless data synchronization
What You Bring to the Table
Technical Expertise
- 3–5 years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server administration experience
- Deep knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and database design
- Proficiency with SQL Jobs, SSRS, and SSIS
- Strong T-SQL skills—you can write elegant stored procedures in your sleep
- Experience with replication, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
