Job Description
Supports day-to-day and long-range scheduling of aircrew and maintenance training devices (simulators/part-task trainers). Coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders to publish accurate schedules, track changes, and report impacts. Performs basic quality assurance reviews of training syllabi and related training objective artifacts to validate error corrections and requirements (e.g., prerequisites, sequencing, and device needs), and route corrections for update.
Assist in building weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual student training forecasts by analyzing customer requirements, historical trends, device availability, and known constraints such as scheduled maintenance downtime, device and system upgrades/modifications. Create, maintain, and publish accurate training device schedules in accordance with program business rules and customer priorities, while supporting the daily/weekly scheduling battle rhythm through coordination, deconfliction, and timely updates. Manage schedule changes—including add-on’s, drops, swaps, and re-sequencing—ensuring impacts are assessed, conflicts are identified and resolved, and updates are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
Maintain scheduling and forecasting trackers, plus update dashboards (often Excel-based) with strong data integrity. Generate routine reports on utilization, cancellations, capacity versus demand, and upcoming constraints, and capture schedule assumptions and decisions for traceability. Identify recurring friction points and recommend process improvements using standard work, templates, checklists, and automation where appropriate, while following all program procedures and quality standards to keep schedules, documentation, and communications accurate and audit ready.
