Avionics Technician – Twin Otter Program
Overview
A rapidly growing aviation operation based at
St. Lucie County International Airport (KFPR) is seeking an experienced
Avionics Technician to support their expanding
Twin Otter restoration program. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned avionics professional to take ownership of all avionics-related work on complete tear-downs, full restorations, and total rebuilds of Twin Otter aircraft.

All openings begin as open-ended contract roles with strong potential for direct hire.
Responsibilities
The Avionics Technician will oversee all avionics functions related to the Twin Otter rebuild program, including:
- Leading, managing, and executing avionics troubleshooting and installation
- Performing and supervising Garmin system installations and integrations
- Planning, coordinating, and tracking all avionics work during tear-down, restoration, and rebuild phases
- Reviewing wiring diagrams, technical data, schematics, and interface requirements
- Ensuring proper documentation of all avionics tasks, including log entries and compliance records
- Working closely with leadership, technicians, and external vendors to maintain schedule alignment
- Supporting aircraft inspections, system checks, and final delivery preparation
Required Experience
- Extensive avionics experience with a focus on troubleshooting and installation
- Strong Garmin experience (G-series, navigators, flight decks, interfaces, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with wiring, terminations, system testing, and integration
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and STC documentation
- Strong leadership or lead-level experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Ability and desire to become a long-term member of a growing team
