We have an exciting opening for a Senior Planner Buyer – Motion Control (Hydraulic Products) in Toluca, México. This positionis responsible for the timely supply of raw materials, components, and consumables, as well as for developing and coordinating the production schedule, closely monitoring priorities and customer requirements. This role must optimize inventory levels in order to achieve the division’s targets for customer service, cost reduction, and inventory reduction in a manufacturing environment for hydraulic products.
Additionally, this position is responsible for calculating and maintaining Kanban loop parameters and managing supply agreements with key suppliers (including consignment schemes), ensuring a continuous flow of materials to production.
Your main responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the production schedule based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Ensure on-time supply of raw materials, components, and consumables, preventing line stoppages due to material shortages.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels, aligned with customer service and cost-reduction objectives.
- Administer and maintain Kanban parameters (loops, cards, lot sizes, reorder points, etc.).
- Monitor and manage supply agreements and consignment programs with key suppliers.
- Analyze consumption, lead times, forecasts, and supplier performance to improve planning.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure material availability.
- Follow up on priorities and changes in demand, adjusting production and purchasing plans as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory, service, costs, and planning processes.
Qualifications
We are looking for a talent with
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields (Industrial, Mechanical or similar).
- At least 5 years of experience in Materials Planning / Production Planning / Purchasing roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced English (ability to interact with global teams and international suppliers).
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and/or JDE (JD Edwards).
- Preferable experience in:
- Automotive industry
- Manufacturing of metal components
- Hydraulic and pneumatic products
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with pull systems (Kanban) and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills, results orientation, and sense of urgency.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
