The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Solution Architect to join the team in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; North Charleston, SC; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Chicago, IL; or Seal Beach, CA.
This individual will join the Cloud and Development Platforms team and join a multi-Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Cloud Architecture Services team that will help applications architect, design, develop and deploy solutions in Enterprise Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform environments.
You will be a member of a team of technical architects that are responsible for developing and implementing architecture patterns and designs, moving customer applications and workloads into cloud environments, and providing technical support to all aspects of the cloud.
Your team will be accountable for Reference Architectures and patterns, the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience, and you will own the cloud technical customer engagement including specific implementation projects and/or Proof of Concepts.
Position Responsibilities:
Determine appropriate architecture, design, and services for cloud migrations and new applications
Execute quick technical feasibility and proposal development for moving identified workloads to Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google
Support compliance assessments with the customer on designed cloud architecture
Develop and select migration strategies and approaches to move existing applications and workloads to cloud
Support creation of policy and process documentation to ensure application design compliance and efficient operations of the cloud architecture program
Lead improvements in optimizing and maturing over all cloud onboarding, migration, and adoption including documentation, runbooks, patterns, etc.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in cloud technologies
Represent customer needs to the cloud engineering and platform team
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience in leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management
3+ years of experience in broad-based computing system architecture
3+ years of experience migrating applications to Cloud platform
Experience in team building, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team member, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current industry certifications, including Amazon Web Service (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions architect expert or equivalent
5+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud
Experience migrating applications from traditional data center to cloud
Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies
Experience in cloud computing architecture
Experience in database design/development
Experience with markdown, Terraform, Azure ARM, AWS Cloud Formation, draw.io, Visio
Experience with Threat Modeling
Experience in DevSecOps tools such as Gitlab, Confluence, technologies, and practices
Experience facilitating discussions with technical teams to drive improvement and efficiencies
Experience with cloud native development principles and best practices
Experience in process improvement methodologies
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies

Summary pay range: $142,800 – $207,000
