Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Software Engineer Simulation Eurofighter (d/f/m)
At Airbus Defence & Space we are developing high fidelity Eurofighter Engineering and Training Simulators for a variety of applications over the entire development lifecycle. At the core, our Simulations are distributed real-time applications. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to build, configure and deploy simulations. You will be working in an international team, located in Manching, Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Setup and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines for new and existing projects
Package and containerize complex real-time distributed applicationsAssist the integration team in automating the development and deployment processes
Create and perform unit tests of simulation components (C++ / Python)
Educate your fellow developers about CI/CD by creating tutorials, documentation and giving regular talks
Desired skills and qualifications
Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or a comparable engineering subject
Many years of relevant professional experience
CI/CD Components (Jenkins, Nexus, Sonarqube) and setting up pipelines
Various Linux distributions
Packaging applications and libraries for multiple platforms (apt, yum, conan, docker)
Containers and Hypervisors (Proxmox, Ovirt/RHEV, Swarm, Kubernetes)
Configuration & Automation management tools like Ansible
Software Version Control Systems (Git)
Good knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python
Experience in C++ would be beneficial
Very good English, written and spoken
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
