Summary Of Key Duties
- You will have the pleasure of managing design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Work with manufacturing engineering teams to drive consistency & commonality into designs across LM Space Products
- Monitoring the design sequence of operations and specifying procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Identify opportunities with existing builds to improve quality and schedule with changes to flow or new tooling
- Recommend capital expenditures based on new technology within industry
- Providing guidance to manufacturing engineers regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensuring processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
- Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
