Responsible for performing maintenance tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft and components in compliance with company procedures and regulations. The Aircraft Technician works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer within the relevant trade or cross-trade disciplines for which they are trained.
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of aircraft, engines, and components and/or approved structural repairs in compliance with manufacturer procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all safety procedures during fluid replenishment, aircraft refuelling, and aircraft systems charging or servicing as required.
- Complete component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by the immediate supervisor. This includes obtaining and interpreting the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Structural Repair Manual (SRM), or other OEM-approved documentation required to perform the task.
- Support Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Approved/Licensed Technicians in troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications in accordance with job cards. Complete tasks promptly to minimise delays, prepare work based on aircraft status, report defects quickly, and ensure accurate shift handovers.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by minimising risks, reporting deficiencies, and ensuring clean, organised work areas free of FOD. Regularly audit and maintain toolboxes, vehicles, and equipment while complying with all airport safety regulations, including holding a valid Airport Driving Permit and adhering to manoeuvring area requirements.
- Contribute to team objectives and support continuous improvement initiatives through collaboration with colleagues.
- When required, apply current knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance support, aircraft repairs, and modifications to assist with resource allocation (using RMS/RTC applications as needed) and departmental projects.
