Basic Qualifications
- Clearance Eligibility: Ability to obtain a DoD security
clearance (U.S. citizen only).
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of OSI/TCP
IP models; Layer 2 (VLANs, ARP, CDP, trunking) and
Layer 3 (IP addressing, routing) concepts.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years planning, building,
installing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
- Cisco Expertise: Hands on experience configuring Cisco
switches and routers via CLI.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose network
outages and restore service promptly.
- Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain a
cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal
communication abilities.

Desired Skills
- Experience with encryption devices and COMSEC.
- Experience with Cisco routing devices such as 4000, and
8000 Series platforms.
- Experience with Cisco switching devices such as 3850,
9300 and Nexus switching platforms.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewall platforms.
- Experience in the application of DISA (Defense Information
Systems Agency) STIG (Security Technical Implementation
Guides) settings to network computing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IP telephony and integration into existing IP
network infrastructure.
- System and network experience with Microsoft Windows
and Linux.
