Sitting within the Lifecycle Management & Marketing Optimization team, the Marketing Advisor – Lifecycle is responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives that drive engagement and positive experiences within the Aeroplan program. This includes contributing to the planning and execution of integrated, data informed communications across the foundational Aeroplan member and credit card lifecycle stages. This role requires strong cross functional team leadership, disciplined project management, and a commitment to operational excellence to ensure timely, accurate, and high quality delivery. Success depends on curiosity, analytical strength, and the ability to proactively navigate a fast paced, multi stakeholder environment.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the strategy, development, and implementation of new, targeted initiatives that support Aeroplan members and Aeroplan credit cardholders across their journey, with a specific focus on driving member engagement, cardholder acquisition, surprise and delight, and program value reinforcement. This includes but is not limited to:
- Development and ongoing management of new event or behaviour based triggered communication vehicles.
- Creating opportunities that positively reinforce a member’s engagement with Aeroplan across channels.
- Planning timely integration of various Air Canada/Aeroplan products and partners within the trigger communications to drive engagement and showcase the breadth of the Aeroplan program.
- Develop, execute and manage campaigns across owned and paid channel placements including email, paid media, print, partner channels etc.
- Facilitate the internal intake process for campaign planning to ensure sufficient lead times, resources, and channel support availability.
- Manage end-to-end execution of projects - from drafting creative briefs through to obtaining all required stakeholder approvals, campaign deployment, and post-campaign analysis.
- Lead project workflows by managing project timelines & budgets for all campaigns; ability to foresee and realign priorities, when necessary.
- Utilize data to determine campaign structures, targeting strategies and communication tactics.
- Facilitate delivery of post campaign analysis and leverage key insights and learnings to optimize future strategies with an always-on approach to continuous improvement through test & learn.
- Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders – Marketing, Product Owners, Analytics, Marketing Operations, eCommerce, Creative Studio, Legal, other channel owners, etc. to develop and deliver on plans to meet business objectives.
- Support the ongoing creative optimization and use of member lifecycle printed collateral including collateral to support acquisition in partner locations, new member fulfillment kits, member replacement card kits etc.
- Support initiatives to enhance member experience and drive member engagement on aircanada.ca and Air Canada App.
- Manage specific project budgets and administer finance processes.
- Work with Call Centres to manage ad-hoc member requests and escalations related to the campaigns.
- Provide ad-hoc support on other initiatives, as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience working directly on one or more of the following: customer lifecycle management, CRM strategy, loyalty marketing, campaign management, product marketing, B2C digital marketing
- Ability to develop impactful and effective communication strategies and campaigns.
- Good creative evaluation skills and ideation capabilities.
- Solid understanding of below-the-line marketing communications with a focus on digital channels
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to report findings and support broader team to find effective solutions to drive marketing and communications strategies.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive self-starter, with strong project management skills and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Superior administrative, prioritization and organization skills with the ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to communicate in written and oral English required. French is an asset.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or retailed field.
Experience:
- 3+ years experience in marketing, preferably with experience in a similar field - loyalty, customer lifecycle programs, airline and/or travel industry.
- French an asset.
Structure:
- The Marketing Advisor – Lifecycle sits within the Lifecycle Management & Marketing Optimization team, reporting to the Manager, Member & Status Lifecycle
Marketing - Does not have any direct reports.
Conditions of Employment:
