Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Date Scientist. This is a contract opportunity with one of our clients in Rahway NJ.
In this position, you'll leverage your expertise in analyzing large-scale biomarker datasets to ensure data integrity and quality for oncology clinical trials. Your insights will directly impact the development of personalized medicine, making a tangible difference in patient outcomes.
Pay $68/hour
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biology, or related fields; Master’s or PhD preferred
- Minimum 5 years (BSc), 3 years (MSc), or 1 year (PhD) experience in data analysis within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry
- Proven experience analyzing large datasets, especially NGS, genomics, or biomarker data
- Strong ability to perform quality assurance on large datasets and identify quality events
- Proficiency with software tools, especially Excel (advanced skills preferred)
- Excellent analytical skills and scientific background, with a particular emphasis on biomarker experience
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot operational issues, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a clinical or pharmaceutical setting
- Knowledge of clinical database management and data integration
- Familiarity with statistical programming languages such as R or Python
- Experience with quality assurance processes in data-rich environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A life sciences degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) with relevant experience in genomics or biomarker datasets
- Prior experience in clinical or pharmaceutical research, particularly in oncology or companion diagnostics
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work full-time for 12 months from hire date
- Flexibility for onsite/hybrid work arrangements in Rahway, NJ
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
