Job Description
- Lead end to end airport operations, shaping safety, service and performance while making a meaningful impact for customers, teams and airport partners
- Play a key role in delivering and evolving the regional offshore airports strategy, supporting Qantas’ operations and growth across Canada
- Permanent, full-time opportunity based in Vancouver
- $110,000 – $125,000 CAD

As the
Airport Manager (Vancouver), you will play a key leadership role driving airport operations and customer service delivery, ensuring safe, efficient and high performing outcomes across both above and below wing functions. You will be accountable for safety, service excellence, people leadership, revenue, regulatory compliance and key operational metrics such as on time performance, all contributing to a strong customer experience and ongoing business improvement.
Taking a strategic view of airport performance, the position focuses on identifying opportunities to strengthen local operating processes, alongside managing budgets, cost controls and the delivery of local initiatives that align with broader airport priorities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with airport authorities, government and regulatory bodies, business partners, vendors and other key stakeholders is also a core part of ensuring a seamless and collaborative operation.
As part of the Offshore Airports team, you will contribute to the delivery and development of the regional offshore airports strategy, supporting Qantas’ ongoing growth and operations in Canada.
To Be Successful, You Will Have
- Senior operational and managerial experience in a large, complex or regulated environment preferably in Airport Operations.
- Extensive and thorough knowledge of Transport Canada, CBSA and CATSA regulations and a demonstrated understanding of current regulatory and industry issues
- Strong working knowledge of airport operations, safety, security and emergency procedures, with the ability to apply relevant aviation standards, manuals and regulatory requirements in a live operational environment
- Strong capability in local change management and process improvement
- Effective communication, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Ability to develop and implement tactical plans and strong partnerships with business partners.
- Ability to lead teams and build strategic partnerships
