JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is a frontline leader with responsibility for a designated team of professionals within the Supply Chain function. The SCM shares their time and experience to coach, teach, and develop team members. The SCM will lead a hybrid workforce where employee engagement, workload balance, flexibility, and team bonding are key elements of individual and team success.
The SCM leads through a shared vision, creating systems, modeling, and promoting company culture, and growing and developing technical experts for current and future business needs. This role will work with the other SCM and the Supply Chain Director (SCD) to provide input for policy and procedure improvements, recruit and develop supply chain experts, identify sources to meet business needs, optimize pricing, and collaborate on solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Strategic Planning and Goal Setting: Develop and implement business strategies, set measurable goals that align with the organization's mission and vision, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to achieve these goals.
- Team Leadership, Growth and Development: Recruit, hire, lead, motivate, and manage a team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth, while also offering guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Performance Management: Set performance standards, monitor and evaluate team and individual performance, provide constructive feedback, and address any issues to ensure high productivity and quality of work.
- Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Make informed data driven decisions that impact the team and organization, analyze complex issues, and develop effective solutions to overcome challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting for assigned area, manage financial resources, ensure accurate financial reporting, and implement cost controls with the supply base to maintain fiscal responsibility and support the organization’s financial objectives.
- Evaluate, select, and develop qualified suppliers to support demand for product material and services. Support negotiations of related supplier long term agreements and ensures the successful and efficient execution of supply chain programs
- Ensure that suppliers are effectively equipped and supported, shares in our goals and objectives, and follows contractual requirements. Manage strategic supplier relationships. Ensures internal understanding of supplier process capabilities (capacities, constraints, etc.).
- Ensure that trade compliance issues and any quality or inventory disputes with suppliers are resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor, measure, report, and address Supplier performance, including elements of Quality, Delivery and PPV.
- Ensure that product material costs are accurately reflected in cost standards and report on significant changes to product material costs
- Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability. Report on changes to market conditions, participating in customer business reviews or other customer support activities. Coordinate with Product Line management regarding visibility of long-term demand forecasts. Participate in SIOP process.
- Stay informed of current best practices, process, and techniques and bring them into the organization as appropriate.
- Participate in activities which enhance strategic ATRO Supply Chain spend.
- Support customer and third-party quality system audits, as well as internal business process audits.
- Support internal AES proposal activities in a timely manner.
This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:

- BA/BS degree in related subject matter
- 10 years related experience, including management experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Base salary range is $111,929 - $167,893.
