Join our Corporate Services division
to help build the next generation Finance organization for IATA. The ambition

The Assistant Manager, FP&A and Finance supports regional
accounts receivable activities and contributes to the financial performance
management of the Africa & Middle East region. Reporting to the Senior
Manager, FP&A and Finance, the role covers accounts receivable and asset
management accounting, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, and provides
finance support across operations, with a focus on the Accounts Receivable
stream.
What your day would be like
The Regional FP&A and Finance team
plays a strategic role in supporting the Corporate Services AME team by
aligning financial priorities with the broader Corporate Services vision,
enabling the successful delivery of IATA’s Corporate Services strategy and
business objectives.
- In this role, you will lead and drive the
following key activities:
Manage all in‑house finance and accounting activities related to regional Hinge accounting, accounts receivable reporting, and fixed asset management under the Accounts Receivable stream, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, the Financial Policies Manual (FPM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Collaborate with the Global Finance Hub in Singapore and regional teams to assist with the migration of transactional A/R finance activities, helping ensure a smooth handover and continued operational stability.
- Support accounts receivable–related cash flow management and working capital optimization activities, with a focus on inflow forecasting
- Support the preparation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and management reports, contributing to improved visibility and informed decision‑making for finance and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and three‑year planning activities, supporting the Senior Manager FP&A and partnering with the business division as required.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives (via CIP – continuous improvement program), focusing on operational efficiency, process optimizing, business impact and the adoption of best practices across the organization
- Support the ERP transformation initiative (BORA) by ensuring that business process requirements are accurately captured and reflected in the system’s technical architecture (where applicable).
We would love to hear from you if
- Approximately five (5) years’ relevant experience in finance or FP&A, preferably within a multinational environment, supporting accounting operations, financial reporting, planning activities, and transformation initiatives
- Professional accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant) or a university degree in Finance or Accounting, with solid working knowledge of IFRS.
- Strong analytical and technical capability, including proficiency in Power BI and related reporting tools, with the ability to deliver data‑driven, forward‑looking analysis. A tech‑savvy mindset with experience in bringing data and analytics to the forefront of the finance function.
- Exposure to or a track record of leveraging AI‑enabled tools or capabilities to enhance financial planning, analysis, or reporting processes is considered an asset.
- Experience in supporting SAP migrations or ERP transformation initiatives is a distinct advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, work collaboratively across teams, and translate financial information into clear, actionable insights.
- Fluency in English.
