** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Engineer to fill a one-year contract assignment in the Moss Point, MS area.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary. Date: 03/02/2026

Requirements:
This is an On-Site position
Required PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Vest
Required skillsets and expertise:
- 0-5 years of related experience required and an accredited bachelor’s degree
- Introductory engineering knowledge
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor
- Basic discipline software knowledge
- Strong work ethic
- Positive attitude
- The ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors
Job responsibilities include:
- Applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems
- Supporting estimate preparation, developing design options, and preparing construction specifications
- Providing guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages
- Creating a safe work environment by putting safety first
- Understanding the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance
- Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance
- Understanding design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design
- Understanding industry and Company design standards
- Supporting design standard and criteria development for the system
- Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations
- Estimating material for projects
- Transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications
