Delta Air Lines is looking for an enthusiastic
Entry-Level Foundry Solutions Engineer to support
Project SOAR (Solution Optimization for Availability and Reliability)—a key initiative powering next‑generation maintenance and operational insights across our fleet.
In this role, you’ll learn to design and support applications on the
Palantir Foundry platform, including building data-driven tools, supporting pipeline development, and collaborating with engineers and business teams. You’ll work in a hands‑on environment with opportunities to grow your skills in SQL, Python, data engineering, and Foundry’s Workshop and Ontology tools.

As An Entry-level Foundry Solutions Engineer, You Will
- Assist in building and maintaining user-facing applications using Foundry Workshop
- Support development of basic integrations and data flows between Foundry and other systems
- Help test, document, and improve data pipelines and Ontology-based structures
- Work with cross-functional teams—including data engineers, AI/ML specialists, and business stakeholders—to understand requirements and support feature development
- Participate in code reviews and maintain good version control practices
- Help monitor and troubleshoot application performance within the Foundry ecosystem
- Learn and apply best practices for scalable, reliable system development
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of SQL and Python
- Interest in learning Palantir Foundry tools (Workshop, Ontology, Pipeline Builder)
- Familiarity with general software development concepts and version control (e.g., Git)
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new technologies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Internship or project work involving data pipelines or analytics platforms
- Familiarity with APIs or basic web development concepts
- Any hands‑on work with Palantir Foundry (academics, internship, or personal learning)
- Interest in AI/ML tools or data-driven decision-making
