Senior AWS Cloud Engineer responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructure, modernizing microservices, and driving automation and observability across AWS environments. (Hybrid- Toronto 2 days/wk)
Must Have Skills
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud services (ECS, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, OpenSearch)
- Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with containerization and deployments (Docker, ECS)
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability using Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar)
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with CloudFormation
- Experience with AWS cloud migration strategies
- Knowledge of cloud security and networking best practices
- Experience with cost optimization strategies in cloud environments
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Design and execute cloud migration strategies to AWS
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Modernize and deploy Spring Boot microservices on AWS infrastructure
- Implement scalable and secure cloud architecture using AWS services
- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch
- Build automation for CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Optimize application performance, availability, and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and development teams to support deployments and integrations
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues in cloud environments
