About the Role
- You will be reporting to the Director of Middle East – North Africa, International Business Development, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for assisting in identifying new international business opportunities across Middle East and North Africa Region focused initially on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, fostering relationships, evaluating the viability of opportunities, building customer relationships and directly supporting Missiles and Fire Control Line of Business capture activities.
- It is necessary for the individual to understand, articulate and help develop our strategies as the on the ground person in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- You will work directly with Line of Business IBD on country and regional business development capture plans that sustain current programs and develop growth opportunities across the MFC portfolio.
This role will shape the international strategy for Missiles and Fire Control and coordinate across multiple Business Areas / functions within the corporation, including but not limited to Global Business Development, Lockheed Martin Business areas (Aero, Rotary Mission Systems, Space), MFC Program Management, Operations, Industrial Development, etc.
Other Responsibilities
- Develop and promote strong relations with internal and external customers
- Interpret customers' needs and requirements and relate them back to strategy and programmatic processes
- Lead country coordination efforts, Participate in Country ICTs and Represent MFC with the LMSA Chief Executive
- Participate in Industrial Participation planning and contribute to decisions that impact the company and customers
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Experience in business development, customer relations and/or experience with the Ministry of Defense, Industrial Agencies or armed forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- Understanding of Combat Weapon Systems, and how they can be integrated into the architecture, and/or land effectors for priority missions including Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD)
- Understanding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Government structures and acquisition processes to include Ministry of Defence (MOD), General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), and main component services in each country.
- General understanding of US policy in the Middle East and pertinent organizations such as the GCC
- Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive arena
- Experience creating presentations, reports and information papers
- Excellent Computer skills; fluent in Microsoft office
- Fluent Arabic and strong English language oral and written skills

- Knowledge of defense market, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales contracting and FMS process with USG organizations
- Experience working with Embassies, KSA Gov and military commands in KSA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government
- Understanding of Middle East and North Africa region cultures
- Experience working with Middle East Industrial Development partnerships or opportunities
- Avid learner – strong desire to understand the entire portfolio within RMS and the Lockheed Martin Enterprise
