Title: Senior HRIS and Benefits Partner
Reports to: Senior Manager, HR Operations
OBJECTIVE
The Senior HRIS & Benefits Partner is a hands-on, operationally focused HR professional responsible for the day-to-day administration and execution of the Company’s HRIS and employee benefits programs within a highly regulated environment. Reporting directly to the Senior HR Operations Manager, this role serves as the functional expert ensuring accurate system administration, benefits processing, compliance, and employee support across a 24/7, safety-sensitive workforce.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day administration and oversight of all employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, supplemental/voluntary plans, 401(k), ESPP, and vendor coordination.
- Administer day-to-day and oversee leave management, including FMLA, personal leaves of absence, ADA accommodations, and related compliance documentation. Partner with the Sr. HR Ops Manager for any decisions on FMLA, ADA, LOA.
- Manage COBRA administration, eligibility tracking, and coordination with third-party administrators.
- Administer and coordinate Workers’ Compensation claims, vendor communication, and related recordkeeping.
- Serve as the primary administrator and owner of the Company’s HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy, system integrity, and proper configuration across all modules.
- Process and audit employee lifecycle transactions within the HRIS.
- Partner with Payroll, Crew Scheduling and corresponding departments to ensure accurate benefits deductions, leave coding, workers’ compensation tracking, and payroll processing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries related to benefits, leave, HRIS, and workers’ compensation.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting to support audits, compliance requirements, and operational needs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in HRIS and benefits administration.
- Direct experience administering employee benefits, including medical plans, supplemental/voluntary benefits, 401(k) and ESPP programs.
- Working knowledge of leave administration (FMLA, personal leaves), ADA accommodations, and COBRA.
- Experience coordinating Workers’ Compensation claims and working with third-party administrators.
- Hands-on experience administering an HRIS platform (ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HR and benefits compliance requirements (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, state leave laws).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion, including safeguarding sensitive employee, medical, and compensation information and refraining from sharing confidential information with unauthorized individuals
- High attention to detail with proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information accurately.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, operational environment supporting a 24/7 workforce.
