Senior Protection and Control Engineer
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Senior Protection and Control Engineer for our clientâs operation near Reading, PA. This is a long-term contract position with competitive pay. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art project.
The Senior Protection and Control Engineer will support Substation and Transmission projects with focus on electrical protection and control activities for Client and its Customers as an integral part of the Power Networks team. This includes new substations and switchyards, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorâs degree in electrical engineering and 8 or more years of protection and controls experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is preferred.
- Extensive experience in protection and control engineering for 69kV and above switchyards and substations.
- Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
- Design and implement advanced protection and control schemes for power systems.
- Has a competent understanding of regulations, electrical codes, manufacturing standards and industry standard practices.
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, organized, and be able to work independently.
- Ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal and written communication skills that permit working efficiently alongside senior substation engineers and designers in a team setting.
