JSG is recruiting for a Customer Service Representative for a client in Brentwood NY. It is a long-term contract paying $21/hour.
The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless order processing and exceptional customer interactions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
What Youâll Do:
You will be the frontline communicator for our customers, handling inquiries, processing orders via phone, email, or fax, and working closely with internal departments such as production, planning, shipping, and accounting. Your efforts will ensure that each order is accurately managed from start to finish, with timely updates on order status, pricing, and delivery details. Additionally, you'll assist with shipping documentation, resolve customer issues, and support administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 yearsâ customer service experience, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, or product-based companies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with ERP or order entry systems is a plus
- Basic business math skills and excellent data entry skills (10-key)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supporting shipping operations or international shipments
- Familiarity with logistics documentation and international shipping procedures
- Prior work in a fast-paced office environment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to handle heavy phone and computer work in an office environment
- Flexibility to support shipping department tasks as needed
