The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing end-to-end sub-category strategies and delivering procurement value. This role drives sourcing activities, manages supplier relationships and contract lifecycle, and leverages spend and market analytics to optimize cost, performance, and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze spend data, demand patterns, and supplier markets to support category strategy development.
- Conduct market and cost analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Develop forecasts, dashboards, and analytical reports to support sourcing and contracting decisions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Design and lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluation, and negotiations.
- Develop competitive sourcing strategies and present recommendations to senior leadership with clear commercial rationale.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, including contract drafting, renewals, amendments, and risk escalation when necessary.
- Support supplier onboarding and coordinate documentation, compliance checks, and system setup.
- Drive supplier performance management through regular reviews and collaboration with CoE and business units.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance standards, and internal processes.
- Facilitate effective communication and information flow between suppliers, operations teams, and procurement CoE.
- Identify and implement procurement process improvements to enhance efficiency and value delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, finance, or related operational roles.
- At least 1 year of experience in a managerial or leadership capacity
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, IT, or related field
