JOB SUMMARY
The overriding business objective for the Software Test Engineering intern will be to assist in the development of multi-platform Automated Test Equipment self-test software. Working in parallel with hardware and software test engineers, the intern will be guided through the process of software development and hardware/software test integration. The project will be considered complete when the self-test verification is complete and the software has been released.?

Under the supervision of experienced electrical and software engineers, the Software Test Engineering Intern will be responsible for test engineering activities that include:
- Review Automated Test Equipment (ATE) documentation and write an ATE self-test plan
- Develop a test flow diagram and estimate self-test test coverage
- Lead a self-test technical design review with mentor
- Develop the self-test software and applicable drivers following department coding standards
- Create validation tests and perform them on the different test platforms
- Organize the software documentation and release.
- Perform other duties as needed to assist the department and/or develop skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires 2-3 years of college-level courses focusing on engineering?(BSEE or BSCS student preferred)
Employment Eligibility Requirements:
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Therefore, you?must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check and?drug test, which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Base Salary is $30 per hour and this position is eligible for holiday pay.
