Position Summary
Accountable for overseeing all aircraft maintenance activities within Base Check Planning and Line Maintenance, ensuring full regulatory compliance. Drives resource optimization and operational efficiency while closely tracking maintenance progress to avoid delays. Proactively resolves technical issues and ensures on‑time aircraft redelivery. Implements improvements that enhance aircraft reliability, reduce downtime, and maximize fleet availability, with full accountability for results.
Key Accountabilities
- Reviews maintenance packages for compliance, resource readiness, and successful execution.
- Ensures timely task completion in line with regulatory and operational standards, taking ownership of TAT and on‑time delivery.
- Coordinates ground time and spares requirements with Advance Planning and Asset Management, resolving scheduling conflicts to avoid disruptions.
- Participates in pre‑induction meetings, addressing resource gaps and recommending corrective actions.
- Leads cross‑functional meetings with production and Technical Services to resolve issues, track progress and maintain alignment with maintenance plans, including daily check and progress reviews.
- Collects and analyze maintenance performance data including man‑hours, task completion, and reliability metrics to enhance efficiency, support operational goals, and manage cost impact.
- Oversees aircraft release to and from service, ensuring compliance with maintenance release procedures and safety standards. Conducts acceptance checks and verifies all documentation before aircraft return to service.
- Reviews planned vs. actual man‑hours, leads post‑mortem assessments with MROs, and drives corrective actions and process improvements based on identified gaps
Qualifications / Areas of Experience
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 2 years experience in Engineering & Maintenance or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with 4 years in Engineering & Maintenance; or
- Aircraft Maintenance personnel with Diploma and 3 to 4 years experience in Engineering and Maintenance Planning
Personality Traits
- High knowledge in Aircraft Engineering Maintenance, Production Planning (PPC), Maintenance Planning & operations activities, system and processes, particularly Check Planning.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills, able to lead with good leadership quality and analytical skills and capable to work under pressure.
- Able to perform Aircraft Check Performance Analysis in timely order.
- Moderate to expert skills with project management / office tools i.e Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Words/Project/Power BI and operations tools i.e AMOS.
Key Challenge
- Consistently monitor ongoing aircraft maintenance check carried out by part 145 production and provides feedback to Aircraft Schedule Planning and resolve tasks, TAT, scheduling, material and production issues.
- Maintaining effective coordination with multiple stakeholders (MROs, OEMs, internal departments) to resolve technical, material, procedural issues and cost effective promptly.
- Managing high-pressure scenarios where critical decisions must be made quickly to prevent delays in aircraft redelivery.
