JSG is hiring a Buyer / Planner for our a temp - hire role in Simi Valley, CA.Â
Job Duties:
Participate in soliciting and selecting key material vendors who can support our growth in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Maintain relationships with key suppliers. Get involved in supplier dispute resolution to ensure ongoing good supplier relations.
Help establish new purchasing procedures that will reduce inventory and WIP.
Encourage continuous improvement to achieve the lowest total cost procurement.
Ensure obsolete and other inventory scrap issues are dealt with in a timely and cost effective manner.
Work with suppliers and other team members to resolve schedule related problems quickly and effectively.
Identify opportunities for operational improvements and recommend process improvement priorities.
Support process improvement programs by providing measurements and analysis.
Prepare operation performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Maintain planning and scheduling to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
Help establish new production control that will reduce inventory and WIP.
Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field preferred
Minimum 3-5 Years of Purchasing and Planning experience.
Written and verbal communication, math, microcomputer/keyboarding and strong interpersonal skills.
Pay range: $60,000-$70,000
