Job Purpose
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Saudi Maintenance and Supply Chain Management Company (SMSCMC) a BAE Systems majority owned Joint Venture, as Senior Supply Chain Manager, based in Taif.
Working across the SMSCMC Functions and Project Teams will offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of SMSCMC in KSA.
To provide senior level operational support to the Salam Supply team and deputise for the Head of Supply – Salam. Manage the safe, sustainable & cost effective delivery of the operational Supply Chain Business activities in KSA incorporating the AOG cell, Spares and Repairs, Consumable Services Operations, Demand Planning and Forecasting and Forward Operations to meet challenging operational readiness and fleet availability targets. Defining and delivering operational processes and reporting matrices to enable efficient and effective supply chain operations to support the customer and the contract.
Job Accountabilities
Performance management of the supply chain operation, alignment of Supply Chain Management Plans with LCM processes.
Ensure supplier/supply chain capacity meets future project requirements, effective management of project risks and opportunities, including warranties.
Deliver/input appropriate monthly supply chain data/reports to senior management.
Continuously develop the end-to-end Supply solution coherently with other SSS operational activities.
As a Control Account Manager be accountable for key elements of the supply chain financial performance through effective review and reporting processes, manage the requirements development and deployment of IT infrastructure.
Promote the implementation and sharing of best practice, supervise and monitor performance of contracted repair and spares services.
Collaborate with the Prime Contractor and other functions / contracted entities within the Salam operation. Ensure the required working environment is appropriate for the delivery of the Supply Chain activities.
Ensure that all personnel within Logistics comply with safety regulations, policy and procedures, ensuring that Logistics procedures and processes are compliant with the appropriate governance regime.
Ensure the Logistics organisation is resourced in accordance to meet contractual requirements and logistic personnel are competent and authorised to perform tasks in accordance with appropriate policy.
Manage and develop talent in the team. Ensure training and development needs are addressed for all personnel under his control.
Ensure that Airworthiness and Safety is afforded due recognition within the Logistics Support organisation.
Ensure that all incidents/accidents are investigated and correctly reported in accordance with agreed procedures and manage the effective implementation and maintenance of Health and Safety, and Quality Assurance within Logistics.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Experienced at leading effective and fast-moving operational supply chain support solutions or experienced operational / project / programme manager.
Must have a good understanding of the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Finance, Commercial, Programme & Business Management practices within BAE Systems.
Substantial knowledge and operational experience of the BAE Systems Operational Framework and Life Cycle Management Framework.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering, Programme Management or Supply Chain discipline.
The incumbent must have the ability to communicate effectively to senior RSAF officer level.
Requires an understanding of RAF and RSAF engineering/logistics operating procedures and previous RSAF customer experience desirable.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage diverse activities across a large mixed RSAF/Industry team of maintenance engineers and supply chain specialists.
Ability to communicate, influence and direct decision making at all levels of the organisation.
