Business Development Manager - Asia

Role And Responsibilities

The primary aim of this positing is to be the senior, customer-facing manager in-region to facilitate stakeholder communications for both projects and potentials. The role will take the lead on all S&BD activities in Asia and lead the growth of the CAE D&S business in assigned sub-regional activities.

In addition to leading activities in Asia to achieve the OI, Proposal and Pipeline targets, this will play a leading role in the development and implementation of the IPAC Regional Strategic Plan that is aligned with the market environment and the relevant approved CAE Inc Global Strategic Plan.

This role will be based in Tokyo, working closely with the IPAC Head of Strategy & Business Development and the IPAC Managing Director.

  • Lead development of key end-customer relationships to drive business opportunities in Asia, with a focus on Japan
  • Secure orders for services and product sales to meet/exceed agreed targets
  • Maintain and enhance the Company’s strategic position in the market
  • Provide leadership and advice to complex pursuit and capture teams, technical teams and required subcontractors

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong Japanese defence industry experience (Air and/or Naval preferred)
  • Fluent in Japanese is desirable
  • Proven strategic and business development experience (ideally regional/global)
  • Experience in preparing, submitting and presenting high value proposals
